Protein Brownies

Brownies have been with us since decades. Even dinosaurs made them because who doesn't like a good brownie. However, this chocolate delicatessen is usually characterised by its high quantity of sugar. Keep on reading to make your own chocolate protein brownie whilst reducing and controlling your sugar intake!

(Quantities are indicative for a serving of 2 people)

Ingredients

Optional 
  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Sucralose

Steps

1. Gather all the necessary ingredients and prepare to taste the best brownie ever

2. Start by chopping the avocado into smaller bits regardless their looks, no need to make it fancy

3. Place the avocado chunks into the blender

4. Grab one egg, break it and pour it into the blender over the avocado

5. Again, grab two more eggs but this time we will only be needing the egg whites. Carefully break them and separate the white from the yolk. Pour the two egg whites into the blender and either store the two yolks for other recipes or save them to make fancy egg beauty masks

6. After this, measure 40g of chocolate protein powder. You can either do this with the classic scoops or help yourself with a weighing scale. Once you have calculated the exact quantity, add it into the blender.

7. Grab the two 85% cocoa small individual tablets and break them into smaller pieces. You can easily do this with your hands, this is just done to avoid the blender having to do the hard work and facilitating the process. 

8. Close the blender cup and blend well until a desired uniform, liquid paste is formed


9. Sometimes you can find out that the blended mixture is too dense. If this happens, add the desired amount of unsweetened almond milk. I would recommend approximately 100ml.

10. Moreover, if you are looking for a sweeter version of this brownie you can also add several spoonfuls of sucralose. This additive is a zero-calorie artificial sweetener and surely the best alternative to sugar, which is extremely unhealthy for your body.

11. If you decided to carry out steps 9 and 10, blend for a couple of seconds more

12. Pre-heat oven at 200ºC for about 10 minutes before putting tray in 

13. Pour the mixture into a small glass tray that you can put into the oven

14. Once full, sprinkle the walnuts over the brownie mixture, pushing some of them into the mixture and leaving others on top for extra decoration. 

15. Put the tray into the oven and leave in for about 20 minutes. If you prefer a drier and crumblier brownie, leave in for an extra 5-10minutes.

16. Remove from oven and serve with the biggest of the smiles because you are now able to enjoy the most delicious and healthiest brownie you have ever tried. Careful because you will want to repeat!
