Apple Pancakes
Whoever said that biting the apple was considered a sin was totally wrong. They clearly had not read The Art of Looking After Yourself. Learn how to make these mouth-watering pancakes for your pre-workout breakfast or even to impress as a romantic dessert. The best alternative to letting your sweet tooth take you down the wrong side!

(Quantities are indicative for a serving of 2 people)
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup of Oats
- 2 Apples
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tablespoon of Cinnamon
- Maple Syrup zero (Suggested: The Protein Works)

Steps
1. Gather all the necessary ingredients and get comfy yet glamorous
2. Start by chopping the two apples into dice (not too small, not too big)
3. Place the apple cubes onto a plate and microwave for 2 minutes
4. Once the timer has ended, put the apple cubes into the blender cup
6. Add a tablespoon of cinnamon to the mixture (quantity will depend on personal taste)
7. After this, add 2/3 of a cup of oats into the mixture
8. Close the blender cup and blend well until the desired uniform, liquid paste is formed

9. Preheat pan at a medium-high temperature and add olive oil (preferably in spray to measure doses). This will prevent the pancake from sticking to the surface of the pan and, consequently, making perfect, cute pancakes.
10. Pour a small dose of the blended mixture on to the pan and spread to create the desired shape (circle, squared, heart, Spongebob's pineapple, whatever...)
11. Once you start to see it has cooked on one side, with the help of a spatula, flip to let the other side golden too
12. Take out and stack them on a plate, repeating the process for as many pancakes as you can do out of your mixture (I usually get to make 6 medium-sized ones)
13. Once stacked, drip over the pancakes some maple syrup zero to give it some moisture and extra flavour (quantity will depend on personal taste)
14. If desired, you can also add extra slices of apple on top of your pancakes
15. Grab your plate, sit down at a calm place and enjoy either on your own or with company, but ENJOY THE MOMENT. This is well deserved you Gordon Ramsay!
As we learnt together in The Science Behind Happiness, it is extremely important to indulge cravings occasionally (specially those sweet ones that we apparently can't get off our minds). However, if done in a healthy way, we will feel both satisfied as well as remorseless because we are even contributing to work towards our goals.
